Sonia Barreno
Controller - Accounting and Finance
Sonia Barreno has been LincolnIT’s full-time Controller since 2001, but has been providing accounting support to the company since its’ inception in 1998.
An innovative and driven professional, Sonia possesses over 34 years of hands-on accounting expertise across various industries including IT – from Textiles, Construction, and Exhibit Design. Sonia oversees the financial and HR functions at LincolnIT and manages the teams associated with these areas.
Prior to Lincoln, Sonia solely managed the Accounting Department at New York City based company Lincoln Exhibit Studios; overseeing an annual revenue of over $10MM, as well as having worked with current Lincoln investment partner/co-owner, Gary Cioffi. This role prepared her and served as the stepping stone to her position as Controller at Lincoln.
Sonia graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation, she accepted a position as a bookkeeper for a company in the import/export industry, where she gained most of her knowledge of accounting principles and wore many hats. Sonia was born in Ecuador, but grew up on Long Island, New York.
